The first Saturday of each Target sponsors “First Saturday’s” everyone who attends will enjoy free art and entertainment from 5pm-11pm. The Brooklyn Botanical Garden is right around the corner from the Brooklyn Museum. You can purchase a Brooklyn Art and Garden ticket which will give you same day access to the Garden as well as the Museum. The suggested contribution is $20 for adults, $11 for students with ID, Seniors $11, children under 12 are FREE. Speaking of FREE- if you plan on visiting the Botanical Garden on Tuesday there is no cover but do note that the Brooklyn Museum is closed on Mon and Tue. For more info please click this link.
Pack your camera,put on comfortable shoes and take a stroll across the Williamsburg Bridge. This walk is so beautiful and peaceful you will really get to enjoy the beauty of NYC. If you’d like to ride across the bridge I reccomend renting a bike from Landmark Bike Rental. Entrance to the bridge from the Manhattan side is at Delancy/Essex you can take the (JMFZ) train. If you’re crossing from the Brooklyn entrance you can enter at Brooklyn, you have two entrances: the first entrance is on the corner of South 5th Street and South 5th place “South 5th Place. (South 5th Place is between Driggs Ave and Roebling Street). The second entrance is located on Bedford Ave between South 5th and South 6th Streets. You will take the (JMZ) subway to Marcy.
