San Diego Pride 2012 “America’s Pride” is going to be a huge event, headlining are Kelly Rowland and Natasha Bedingfield.
The Parade will start July 20th at 11am running from University Ave. and Normal Street, proceeds west on University Avenue to 6th Avenue, turns south on 6th Avenue, ending at Balboa Drive and Upas Street. This parade is the 4th largest and draws crowds of 197,000 viewers.
Pride Festival will run Sat July 21st 12noon-10pm and Sun July 22nd 11am-8pm. The festival will have 300 vendors selling everything ranging from art to food. There are 3 stages with 80 musicians, comedy and dance performances. This event will be fun for all ages and will include a Children’s garden.
Are there any bars along the route? Yes. On University there are numerous bars that will be open and ready to cool you off and tons of partying.
Is the parade free? Yes. The parade is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
