Barcelona Spain “Written by Carmen Webber”
Barcelona is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The architecture is incredible. The culture is very warm and inviting. The food is absolutely delicious and there is something for everyone’s palette.
The museums and cathedrals are magnificent. The narrow cobble stoned streets are laced with the most interesting architecture, from luxury elaborate homes to modest – almost poor – tiny homes. They display everything from potted plants, tiny tables to laundry hanging over the balconies and on wires that connect from building to building.
Live music constantly plays in the streets. Tapas bars over flow with tourist and the neighborhood locals.
Church bells ring every hour.
While we were there, the weather was magnificent: sunny and warm with a cool breeze every now and then.
Barcelona is a must see destination for everyone.
If you are an art lover like myself, you will truly appreciate all of the Gaudi architecture, the Botero sculpture, the Picasso and Miro art amongst many other artist’s creation and the lovely boutiques in historical buildings. The quaint tea houses in between the Tapas Bars was the perfect way to end the day after lots of sun, sights, eating, drinking and walking.
Again Barcelona is a must see destination!
