Whether you are visiting New York City or a native new yorker, the Groove Lounge “home of rhythm, blues and funk” is a spot you will definitely want to experience.
I had the pleasure of going this past weekend and I had a ball. Aside from the hot waiter and gorgeous bartenders this place is rocking. The band that was performing was the funk band “Li’Nard and The Many Moods” and they were rocking. But don’t just take my word check out this video of them performing Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”

Li’Nard and the Many Moods perform Thur and Sat. To see the calendar of scheduled performances at Groove click this link here.

The Groove Lounge is open seven days a week and is the only place in New York City where you will hear live funk, R&B,Jazz not to mention you may run into a few celebs jamming right beside you as they to frequent the Groove. I’m no name dropper but do note that Chaka Khan, Lisa Lisa and even Prince have been known to stop by.

In addition to the great music The Groove Lounge offers a great happy hour all drinks and food are $4 Sun thru Thur 4pm-7pm and Fri and Sat from 3pm-7pm. Click on this link for menu
