Brooklyn Botanical Garden Sakura Matsuri Festival April 28th-April 29th

So you’ve enjoyed yourself at the Brooklyn Museum but are not quite ready to go back to your hotel? Fortunately, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden is right around the corner from the Brooklyn Museum. You can purchase a Brooklyn Art and Garden ticket which will give you same day access to the Garden as well as the Museum. The suggested contribution is $20 for adults, $11 for students with ID, Seniors $11, children under 12 are FREE. Speaking of FREE- if you plan on visiting the Botanical Garden on Tuesday there is no cover but do note that the Brooklyn Museum is closed on Mon and Tue.

Whether you are a visitor to NYC or a NYC resident, this is a must see event that only happens once a year at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens:

The Sakura Matsuri festival is April 28th-April 29th. This festival celebrates contemporary and traditional Japanese culture. There will be more than 60 events and performances such as: Taiko Drumming  Manga Artists  J-Pop Bands  Tea Ceremonies Samurai Sword Fighting  Cosplay Fashion Show  Bonsai Demonstrations  Minbu Folk Dance  Kids’ Workshops  Puzzle Plaza and Much More! This is a great fun-filled event that the entire family will enjoy.

Please note that the Sakura Matsuri festival will be held rain or shine and do arrive early as the festivities start at 10am.
